Learn simple, yet effective techniques to help relax, relieve stress and deal with common ailments. CenterPoint faculty teach all of these 6 hour workshops.

All instructors are CenterPoint Faculty and are nationally certified by the National Certifying Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) or the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB), and/or are active members of the American Organization of Bodywork Therapies from Asia (AOBTA), or the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA).

Prerequisites: All are welcome!
Please come dressed in comfortable clothing suitable for movement and stretching. For additional comfort, you may choose to bring a yoga mat (optional).
I want to study Yoga! I want to practice Qigong! Now you can do both!
Qi-Yoga (or Qigong-Yoga) is a rich blend of Yoga Asanas and Qigong forms with meditation to energize and improve the body inside and out. These exercises focus on the strength and flexibility of the tendons, muscles and ligaments. In addition, this class will focus on stretching the meridians, using acupressure, building Qi in the organs, and strengthening the connection to one’s inner landscape and the elements.
All are welcome! This class is open to those who are interested in this unique combination of qigong and yoga, and is designed for all skill levels. By taking this class, you will feel better, have more energy, and increase your overall well-being.

For those who wish to practice natural healing at home with family, friends and self, Shiatsu Basics provides an ideal introduction. Participants learn simple yet effective finger pressure techniques to relieve and prevent chronic aches & pains and everyday ailments. Basic theories of Traditional Chinese Medicine (Qi, Yin/Yang, and Eight Principles) are taught to facilitate understanding of how and why Shiatsu works.
Learn basic Shiatsu techniques for the back, neck and feet. Discover how simple and effective Shiatsu therapy is for relieving headaches, back-aches, stiff necks and fatigue. Experience giving and receiving Shiatsu.

Massage Basics is designed for people who are considering a career in massage and bodywork, or for those who would like to learn a simple and safe massage sequence to practice on family and friends. You will learn a variety of basic massage techniques for the head, neck, back, arms and legs emphasizing continuity, completeness and confidence. Massage is great for stress reduction, relaxation, and improved circulation.

This American Heart Association Heartsaver CPR course teaches basic life support techniques to use on adults. The class consists of demonstration and class participation to learn the techniques. In addition to learning CPR for adults and children, you will by certified to use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED).
Course policies: Attendees must obtain and read the text prior to the class, and be prepared to demonstrate the skills to the instructor’s satisfaction.
Instructor: CenterPoint Faculty teach this workshop and have completed the American Heart Association’s Instructors First Aid/CPR training.
