Why is it important to be nationally certified? Clients know when they see that certification that you have the necessary skills and knowledge and you've been tested and been found certifiable! It gives an assurance to clients. Employers looking for massage therapists or bodywork professioinals rely on national certification as in insurance plan if you will, it shows you know the field and probably are committed to upholding the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB) "Standards of Practice". The education CenterPoint offers allows their graduates to be eligible to take one or more of the certifying exams administered by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB). It also allows them to be eligible for medical insurance reimbursement!
