This often doesn’t leave much time for school. At Centerpoint our community programs are designed specially to help you to learn as much as possible within a limited timeframe.
So, whether you are considering therapeutic bodywork as a new career or you would like to learn techniques to work with your family and friends,
our general education programs offer many opportunities for you to learn at a comfortable pace, in a fun and no-pressure environment.
Learn simple, yet effective techniques to help relax, relieve stress and deal with common ailments. Introductory workshops in Massage Therapy (Massage Basics) and Shiatsu Therapy (Shiatsu Basics) are available to the public each semester. Workshop schedules are developed three times per year to begin in January, May and September. Please click on Workshop Calendar to see our current workshop offerings.
All instructors are CenterPoint Faculty and are nationally certified by the National Certifying Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) or the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB), and/or are active members of the American Organization of Bodywork Therapies from Asia (AOBTA), or the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA).
If you would like to register for a workshop or receive a brochure, please call us at 952 – 562 – 5200 or contact us and we will be in touch with you soon.
My wife and I had so much fun in the Self Shiatsu class last week; we thought the instructor was pretty exceptional in creating a space for relaxed learning. Even neophytes like us went away with a darn good understanding of how to work with these techniques on ourselves. Thanks!
