Average Emergency Room Wait Time is 3 Hrs!. Why Wait! Take First Aid Class Saturday, May 5 • 8:00 am – 12:00 pm • Register by Apr 27

18 Jun 2012

The average emergency room waiting time is now over three hours. High demand and life-threatening illnesses are taking a toll on receiving emergency care.  If it’s been awhile you haven’t taken a First Aid class it might be time to refresh your training or take it for the first time. In just four hours in this class you will learn valuable skills that can help to save the lives of your loved ones and yourself. Plus it may keep you out of the emergency room or urgent care saving you time and money.

If you have the emergency tips handout or an emergency First Aid book that’s great. But it’s usually not the time to stop and read. Learning simple procedures and guidelines on how to treat illnesses and injuries can help to keep people safe until the trained professionals arrive.  Or if it’s necessary get them to urgent care or the emergency room.

You’ll have the basics covered as this course covers emergency response to respiratory failure, bleeding, poisoning, shock, burns, broken bones, and more. (We also have a CPR class that offers more in-depth training on respiratory failure).

This hands-on class will cover demonstrations and student participation so you can learn the first aid techniques. This is an American Heart Association’s Instructors First Aid training. CenterPoint faculty that are certified and trained is teaching it.

Prepare for the class by buying the book ahead of the class and reading it. In order to pass the class you need to pass a written exam with a minimum score of 84%.

First Aid saves lives, it could be your life or the lives of others you care for or even a stranger. Call us today to register at 952-562-5200. The class also counts for NCBTMB: 4 CE hours.
